Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Got Ya Back and no illness was detected.The greyhound was a late scratching at 5:28pm due to weight variation(GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. D. Selby was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Team Son upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Serious Magic.
Bills Reflection and Dr. Simon were quick to begin. Dr. Oliver, Team Son and Miss Who were slow to begin. Zero Care Factor faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off. Team Son and Dr. Simon collided on the first turn checking Dr. Simon and Miss Who, Miss Who raced wide as a result checking Dr. Oliver. Team Son raced wide on the home turn.
Zero Care Factor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle and left triangle muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
