Steward's Report
Dr. Harlee and Destructo Rat were quick to begin. Kruzin' Cripps was slow to begin. Missed An Earn and Beaumont collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Beaumont, Shades Of Lippy and Claude Van Keats collided on the first turn checking Kruzin' Cripps which raced wide as a result. Miss Hanna Berry raced wide in the back straight. Missed An Earn was checked off Dr. Harlee on the third turn. Beaumont eased in the home straight checking Missed An Earn. Miss Hanna Berry raced wide on the home turn. Beaumont marred Missed An Earn approaching the winning post checking Missed An Earn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Beaumont regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Beaumont was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle and left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Beaumont with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Beaumont was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
