Dr. Harlee and Destructo Rat were quick to begin.  Kruzin' Cripps was slow to begin.  Missed An Earn and Beaumont collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Beaumont, Shades Of Lippy and Claude Van Keats collided on the first turn checking Kruzin' Cripps which raced wide as a result.  Miss Hanna Berry raced wide in the back straight.  Missed An Earn was checked off Dr. Harlee on the third turn.  Beaumont eased in the home straight checking Missed An Earn.  Miss Hanna Berry raced wide on the home turn.  Beaumont marred Missed An Earn approaching the winning post checking Missed An Earn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Beaumont regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Beaumont was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle and left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Beaumont with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Beaumont was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Jennings the trainer of Tub's Tiger regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tub's Tiger last raced on 03/09/16.  Mr. Jennings stated the greyhound was returning to racing following general soreness.

Dr. Squidley was quick to begin.  Ninetymile Holly was slow to begin.  Ninetymile Holly and Hurricane Craig collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Hello Nimble crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Dr. Squidley, Dee Tee Vane and Tub's Tiger.  Tub's Tiger and Dr. Squidley collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ninetymile Holly was checked off Son Of Steve approaching the home turn and raced wide. Guard Your Path was quick to begin.  Vic For Short, Barroom Counsel, Dr. Shiki and Sisco Swift collided soon after the start checking Barroom Counsel and Sisco Swift.  Dewana Express, Vic For Short and Dewana Interest collided on the first turn checking Dewana Interest.  Dr. Shiki was checked off Vic For Short approaching the home turn.

Lauren Kasey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle and a spike wound to the left hind foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Got Ya Back and no illness was detected.The greyhound was a late scratching at 5:28pm due to weight variation(GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. D. Selby was fined the sum of $100.
