Steward's Report
Ain't Annie Good was a late scratching at 4:41pm due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Toth, the trainer of Plaza Boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Plaza Boy last raced on 22nd February 2015. Mr. Toth stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of trainer and a metacarpal injury.
Scarlet Black and Why Not Barrel were slow to begin. Willowvale Pearl checked off Plaza Boy on the first turn severely checking Willowvale Pearl, Scarlet Black and Why Not Barrel; Why Not Barrel contacted the outside fence as a result.
Scarlet Black was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Willowvale Pearl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Why Not Barrel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to all its feet. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
