Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Knocker, the handler of Intrepid Voyager regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Intrepid Voyager last raced on 22nd February 2015. Mr. Knocker stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a broken hock injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Inter Carmella.
Intrepid Voyager, Rusty Mia and Express Pace were slow to begin. Intrepid Voyager checked off Cost Cutter on the first turn. Zatmine, Express Pace and Inter Carmella collided on the first turn checking Rusty Mia. Intrepid Voyager checked off Explosive Angel on the second turn. Zatmine crossed to the rail on the third turn checking Intrepid Voyager. Explosive Angel checked off Cost Cutter in the home straight.
Intrepid Voyager was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hock. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
