Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Corroboree.
Vanity Affair, Corroboree and Parrot Is Loose were quick to begin. Akina Blitz was slow to begin. Can't Believe It, My Mate Horse and Akina Blitz collided soon after the start checking My Mate Horse. Vanity Affair was checked off Corroboree approaching the first turn. Can't Believe It, General's Girl and Simply Stealth collided on the first turn severley checking Can't Believe It. Simply Stealth and My Mate Horse collided on the second turn. Simply Stealth was checked off Parrot Is Loose approaching the third turn. My Mate Horse and Akina Blitz collided on the third turn. My Mate Horse raced errratically entering the home straight. My Mate Horse and General's Girl collided approaching the winning post.
Following an incident in the catching pen between General's Girl and My Mate Horse, witnessed by the catching pen attendants Stewards directed both greyhounds be vetted.
My Mate Horse - no injury apparent.
General's Girl was found to be coming on season, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hall the trainer of the greyhound My Mate Horse. Stewards deemed the performance of My Mate Horse unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that My Mate Horse must perform a satisfactory triqal all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards took into consideration the vets findings and the incident in the catching pen when deciding on the penalty.
