Track Curator Mr. M. Pell advised stewards that the track was lightly harrowed on 24th October 2016.

Daintree Destroy was a late scratching at 7:44am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. M. Marshall, trainer of Iconic Chief declared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Iconic Chief last raced at 31.1kg.

Riverside Mons was quick to begin. Azza and Warringal Miss collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn. Azza checked off Vanderville Girl on the first turn.

Arctic Blaze and Moyarra Dalriata were slow to begin. Stoppa Bus, Forever Loved and Midnight El collided approaching the first turn checking Midnight El which collided with Arctic Blaze. Moyarra Dalriata galloped on the heels of Forever Loved on the first turn checking Forever Loved and Moyarra Dalriata which collided with Midnight El. Mighty Winston and Krisbar Fly Half collided approaching the home turn. Secret Choice galloped on the heels of Krisbar Fly Half on the home turn. Moyarra Dalriata and Midnight El collided on the home turn. Arctic Blaze raced wide entering the home straight.

This event was rescheduled to start at 1:24pm to allow for repairs to be made to the lure cable. .

Swift Fozz was quick to begin. Fawntastic Kate checked off Ace Gone Wild on the first turn. Emcee and Full Blown Turbo collided on the first turn. Ima Big Unit, Ally Renee and Benny's Promise collided entering the back straight severely checking Benny's Promise. Emcee and Ally Renee collided in the back straight. Swift Fozz, Fawntastic Kate and Ace Gone Wild collided approaching the second turn. Ally Renee and Benny's Promise collided approaching the second turn. Benny's Promise and Fawntastic Kate collided on the second turn. Swift Fozz, Fawntastic Kate and Ace Gone Wild collided on the second turn checking Fawntastic Kate and Swift Fozz. Benny's Promise stumbled on the home turn. Swift Fozz and Ally Renee collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Swift Fozz and Emcee collided in the home straight checking Swift Fozz.

Switch Girl was slow to begin. Dynamite Zara, Swift Trent and Tat Molly collided on the first turn checking Swift Trent. Argyle Bonnie and Dream Of Gigi collided on the first turn checking Dream Of Gigi. Dream Of Gigi and Tat Molly collided in the back straight. Dream Of Gigi and Tat Molly collided on the second turn checking Tat Molly.

Stewards spoke and issued a warning to Mr. John Mangion, regarding his failure to catch the greyhound, Just Run Left engaged in this event pursuant to GAR 48. 

Cry Later was a late scratching at 8:28am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Abbie's Dream, Bashir and Wise Harry collided on the first turn checking Bashir. Abbie's Dream, Spritely Boy, Tantanoola and Wise Harry collided entering the back straight severely checking Wise harry and checking Abbie's Dream. Bashir and Wise Harry collided on the second turn. Tantanoola checked off Spritely Boy approaching the home turn. Wise Harry galloped on the heels of Bashir approaching the home turn. Abbie's Dream checked off Bashir entering the home straight.

She's Roxzann was a late scratching at 9:21am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Sir Murray was slow to begin and took no competitive part in the event. Lilly Of Laguna and Angel Of Glory collided on the first turn. Lektra Cooked and Jack's Pick collided on the first turn. Jack's Pick and Lektra Cooked collided on the second turn. Milwalcar and Lektra Cooked collided approaching the home turn. Angel Of Glory and Milwalcar collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Croft, the trainer of the greyhound Sir Murray regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.  Sir Murray was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sir Murray with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Croft pleaded guilty to the charge, Sir Murray was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results -My Name's Josie trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 24.4kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.55, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.25L. My Name's Josie was Not Cleared. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Fothergill, the trainer of Hey Hey Fozz regarding the retirement reason for the greyhound Hey Hey Fozz. Mr Fothergill stated that the greyhound has had a left wrist injury and was now returning from retirement. Hey Hey Fozz trialled over the 425mt from box 8, weight 27.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24:55, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.5L. Hey Hey Fozz was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Beer On Tap trialled over the 425mt from box 6, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.62, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .75L. Beer On Tap was Cleared To Race In Blinkers.
