This event was rescheduled to start at 2:47pm.
She's Roxzann was a late scratching at 9:21am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sir Murray was slow to begin and took no competitive part in the event. Lilly Of Laguna and Angel Of Glory collided on the first turn. Lektra Cooked and Jack's Pick collided on the first turn. Jack's Pick and Lektra Cooked collided on the second turn. Milwalcar and Lektra Cooked collided approaching the home turn. Angel Of Glory and Milwalcar collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Croft, the trainer of the greyhound Sir Murray regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Sir Murray was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sir Murray with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Croft pleaded guilty to the charge, Sir Murray was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
