Gats Caviar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Condon, the trainer of the greyhound Gats Caviar regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Gat Caviar with marring. Mr G. Condon pleaded not guilty to the charge, Gat Caviar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traraglon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr P. Ga;eawas fined the sum of $50 forfailing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Bro Sam's Hook pursuant to GAR 33.

Stately Kay crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Aston Lydia and Elswyk Max.  Stately Kay galloped on Elswyk Max on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds, Stately Kay stumbled as a result.  

Stewards spoke to Ms C. Spiteri the trainer of Phil's In Luck regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Ms C. Spiteri stated that the greyhound previously had not been preforming well, so it was given a 7 week spell to freshen the greyhound up. Stewards noted her explanation and a sample was taken from the greyhound.

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Lawson, the trainer of Lethal Spider regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Lethal Spider last raced on 17th July 2016.  Ms. Lawson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a shoulder injury.
