Sew She Can and Paua To Rush collided soon after the start.  Seabrook Sam, Flywheel Alfie, World's On Fire, Paua To Rush and Sew She Can collided on the first turn checking Flywheel Alfie, Tobias Kelton and Paua To Rush.  Magic Coups and Sew She Can collided on the second turn.  Seabrook Sam and Magic Coups collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Magic Coups was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards noted that there was no catcher for the greyhound Cardiology. Stewards subsequently spoke to trainer Ms K.Coleman and licensed person Mr. Graham Julian regarding the matter. Upon investigation stewards charged Mr Julian with the breach of GAR 86(O), in that he did fail to catch the greyhound Cardiology, which in the opinion of stewards was negligent. Mr Julian pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr Julian guilty as charged and issued a penalty of $50.00

Banjo Bewdy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing injury, a 14 day stand down was imposed.
