An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Headline engaged in this event on Wednesday 26 October, pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lyka Allen upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Lyka Allen was quick to begin. Silky Sock was slow to begin.
All A Blaze and Polijuice Potion collided soon after the start. Headline, All A Blaze, Repelo Muggletum, Polijuice Potion and Banjo Bewdy collided approaching the first turn checking Polijuice potion. Headline, All A Blaze and Repelo Muggletum collided approaching the first turn checking All A Blaze. Lyka Allen and Repelo Muggletum collided entering the back straight checking Repelo Muggletum. Repelo Muggletum, Banjo Bewdy and Polijuice Potion collided in the back straight. Silky Sock contacted the running rail on the third turn. Silky Sock checked off Banjo Bewdy approaching the home turn. Repelo Muggletum and Banjo Bewdy collided on the home turn checking Banjo Bewdy. Headline and All A Blaze collided entering the home straight checking Headline.
Banjo Bewdy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing injury, a 14 day stand down was imposed.
