Steward's Report
Mr. V. Awramenko, trainer of Diamond Apple declared a new weight of 26.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Diamond Apple last raced at 27.4kg.
A pre race sample was taken from Lochinvar Kors.
Next Grange was slow to begin. Just Smile, Diamond Apple and Lady Tron collided soon after the start, checking Diamond Apple. Oakstar checked off Just Smile approaching the first turn. Lady Tron checked off Next Grange on the first turn, checking Admiral Bay. Oakstar, Lochinvar Kors and Lady Tron raced wide entering the home straight.
Diamond Apple was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right leg. No stand down period was imposed.
Admiral Bay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles, the left groin and right metatarsal, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. E. Vigor regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Next Grange. Stewards directed that Next Grange be boxed first in future events.
