Mr.J.Thomson, trainer of Podium Fantasy declared a new weight of 27.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Podium Fantasy last raced at 28.5kg.

Mr.B.Bravo,trainer of Boo's Girl declared a new weight of 25.8kg  for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Boo's Girl last raced at 24.6kg.

Boo's Girl and Tear Away Doc were quick to begin. Sidey was slow to begin. Discovered and Podium Delight collided soon after the start. Sidey checked off Revin Kevin approaching the first turn.

This event was hand timed at 22.28.

Milly's Choice was quick to begin. Young Wade and Crump's Hussler were slow to begin. Crump's Hussler and Sisco Knight collided soon after the start, checking Crump's Hussler. Aston Levi checked off Milly's Choice on the first turn, checking Tabbella and Young Wade. Tabbella and Sisco Knight collided approaching the home turn, checking Sisco Knight, which stumbled as a result. Young Wade raced wide approaching the winning post and collided with Milly's Choice and Crump's Hussler, checking all three greyhounds. 

Sisco Knight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps and an abrasion to the left back paw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mepunga Diego upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Sisco Rascal and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.45pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr.J.Galea was fined the sum of $100.

Dashing Impulse and Over It Tommy were quick to begin. Cheryl's Boy and Al's Luck were slow to begin. Mepunga Diego and Sisco General collided soon after the start. Tear Away Socks and Sisco General collided on the first turn, severely checking Tear Away Socks, resulting in Mepunga Diego also being checked. Dashing Impulse and Over It Tommy collided entering the home straight. Al's Luck and Over It Tommy collided in the home straight. 

Tear Away Socks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hock and a spike wound to the right back paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Bushman's Luck and Podium Sensation collided on the first turn, checking Podium Sensation. Dashing Dream checked off Podium Sensation on the home turn. Lucky Holly and Podium Sensation collided entering the home straight, checking Podium Sensation and Dashing Dream. Kalara and Sisco Mama raced wide and collided in the home straight. Kalara checked off Lucky Holly in the home straight.

Fascinated was quick to begin. Rowdy Richard, Dr. Compulsion and Cowboy Love were slow to begin. Dr. Compulsion and Nawala Ginto collided soon after the start. Fascinated crossed to the oustide approaching the first turn. Fascinated raced wide in the home straight. Sisco Pure lost ground over the concluding stages of the event. 

Sisco Pure was vetted following the event and revetted following event eight. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Marum, the trainer of the greyhound Sisco Pure.  Stewards deemed the performance of Sisco Pure unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Sisco Pure must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pocket Kings was quick to begin. Dr. Yanma and Echelonic Action collided soon after the start. Zamperini and Sisco Gillie collided approaching the first turn. Sisco Gillie and Bronco De Jurer collided on the first turn. Echelonic Action checked off Deadset Jet on the first turn. Echelonic Action checked off Bronco De Jurer approaching the home turn. Deadset Jet checked off Zamperini entering the home straight and raced wide, checking Pocket Kings.

Lektra Boss, Sisco Wander and Unlocked were slow to begin. Tear Away Babe, Maximum Bella and Lektra Boss collided on the first turn, checking Tear Away Babe and Maximum Bella. Sisco Swift and Lektra Boss collided in the home straight. 

The photo finish camera failed to capture an image for this event, Judges used the back up system to determine the placings.

Time's Up Tom was slow to begin. Dr. Toretto and Fear The Boss collided approaching the first turn, checking Dr. Toretto. Slipaway Robbie checked off Dr. Toretto on the first turn. Fear The Boss and Brazen Bull collided approaching the home turn. Guillermo and Pretty Machine collided approaching the home turn. Pretty Machine and Dr. Toretto collided approaching the home turn, checking Dr. Toretto, which raced wide, checking Slipaway Robbie. Fear The Boss and Brazen Bull collided on the home turn.

Worthy Moment and Spring Kitty were quick to begin. Herbilly and What Joy collided soon after the start. Saint Flynn checked off Spring Kitty approaching the first turn, checking Myrniong Bomb and Brazen Blue. Teflon Toby and Saint Flynn collided on the first turn. Teflon Toby and Myrniong Bomb collided in the home straight. Worthy Moment and What Joy collided approaching the winning post.

A pre race sample was taken from Dynamic Couldron.

Lektra Elusive, Cudgee Destroyer and Ella Rhode were slow to begin. Dynamic Couldron, Chief Mingo, Tammy Baxter and Ella Rhode collided on the first turn, checking Cudgee Destroyer, and severely checking Lemon Chicken, Ella Rhode fell as a result. Dynamic Couldron veered out and marred the running of Chief Mingo approaching the home turn, severely checking Chief Mingo. Cudgee Destroyer and Tammy Baxter collided on the home turn. Dynamic Couldron and Chief Mingo collided entering the home straight. Tammy Baxter checked off Cudgee Destroyer in the home straight and crossed to the rail. 

Ella Rhode was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right back leg. No stand down period was imposed

Lektra Elusive was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left ear, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dynamic Couldron was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil and right chest muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Wynd, the trainer of the greyhound Dynamic Couldron regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dynamic Couldron with marring. Mr. Wynd pleaded guilty to the charge, Dynamic Couldron was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Parade Steward Mr. G. McKinnie, catcher Mrs. V. McDonald (Lektra Elusive) and catcher/trainer Ms. V. Giles (Chief Mingo) regarding an incident in the catching pen following the event, where Lektra Elusive suffered a laceration to the ear. After taking evidence from all parties Stewards could not be fully satisfied that Chief Mingo was fully reponsible  therefore no action was taken.

Cool Whipp and Maximum Melva were slow to begin. Cruisen Billy checked off I'll Rob Ya approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Andy checked off Dynamic Spin on the first turn, checking Lektra Hutch and Cruisen Billy. Cruisen Billy checked off Crackerjack Andy entering the home straight. Cool Whipp and Maximum Melva raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.was unable to be obtained from Call Me Daisy. A pre race sample was subsequently taken.

Suspicious Pete was quick to begin. Call Me Daisy and Dulcet Sound collided soon after the start. Call Me Daisy, Altesse and Thunder Of Sky collided approaching the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Call Me Daisy and Dulcet Sound collided approaching the first turn, checking Call Me Daisy. Altesse and Chi Chi Rodrigis collided on the first turn, checking Chi Chi Rodrigis and Thunder Of Sky. Suspicious Pete checked off Hey There Barbie approaching the home turn. Call Me Daisy and Thunder Of Sky collided entering the home straight. Jarvis Rhode raced wide in the home straight.
