Steward's Report
Lektra Aly was a late scratching at 6.24p.m. by Order of Stewards.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Lenehan, trainer of Lektra Aly regarding his failure to present the greyhound for racing in this event. Acting under GAR 86(o) Stewards charged Mr. Lenehan with negligence in that he presented the incorrect greyhound. Mr. Lenehan pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Rival.
Olfina Allen was quick to begin. Pure Zest, Notorious One, Cordite Extra and Tim Riggins were slow to begin. Cordite Extra and Tim Riggins collided soon after the start. Lektra Rival and Uncle Pandora collided approaching the first turn. Pure Zest, Notorious One and Uncle Pandora collided on the first turn, checking Pure Zest. Tim Riggins lost ground on the first turn.
Tim Riggins was vetted following the event and revetted following event It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Vincent, the trainer of the greyhound Tim Riggins. Stewards deemed the performance of Tim Riggins unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Tim Riggins must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
