Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. George, the trainer of Sheza Slingshot regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sheza Slingshot last raced on 30th April, 2016. Mr. George stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel.
Just A Peanut checked off Surefire soon after the start. Red Rocket Sox checked off Nukstar approaching the first turn, checking Valdar Bale. Red Rocket Sox and Surefire collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Surefire and Valdar Bale, Surefire fell as a result.
Surefire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right lateral body tricep, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Valdar Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
