A pre-race sample was taken from Quiet Talk.
Quiet Talk was quick to begin. Violet Allen checked off Fastnet Kahn approaching the first turn. Jody Baxter and Violet Allen collided on the first turn, checking Jody Baxter. Quiet Talk and Kate's Boy collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn, checking Quiet Talk and Fastnet Kahn. Fastnet Kahn, Charly Shu Shine raced wide in the home straight.
Fastnet Kahn was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Gaut, the handler of Fastnet Khan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
