Shady Apple was quick to begin.  Cordite Alert was slow to begin.  Foxzami Storm and Madre Miss collided soon after the start.  Commander, Foxzami Storm and Madre Miss collided approaching the first turn, checking Foxzami Storm, Madre Miss and Cordite Alert.  Commander checked off Shady Apple on the first turn. Commander galloped on the heels of Shady Apple approaching the home turn, checking Shady Apple and Foxzami Storm and severely checking Commander.  Madre Miss galloped on the heels of Commander entering the home straight and raced wide as a result.  Cordite Alert galloped on the heels of Shady Apple entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Commander was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the lateral body tricep, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Madre Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sand burn to the right hind pad.  No stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Colluding, winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. George, the trainer of Sheza Slingshot regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sheza Slingshot last raced on 30th April, 2016.  Mr. George stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel.

Just A Peanut checked off Surefire soon after the start.  Red Rocket Sox checked off Nukstar approaching the first turn, checking Valdar Bale.  Red Rocket Sox and Surefire collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Surefire and Valdar Bale, Surefire fell as a result.

Surefire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right lateral body tricep, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Valdar Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Nukstar, winner of the event.

Shima Gold and Moneypenny were slow to begin.  Crazed Blaze and Julie Flash collided soon after the start.  Crazed Blaze, Pan Yoko and  Ultra Bear collided approaching the first turn, checking Crazed Blaze, Ultra Bear, Shima Gold and Moneypenny.  Pan Yoko brushed the running rail approaching the first turn and collided with Moneypenny, checking Moneypenny as a result.

Lektra Aly was a late scratching at 6.24p.m. by Order of Stewards.  

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Lenehan, trainer of Lektra Aly regarding his failure to present the greyhound for racing in this event.  Acting under GAR 86(o) Stewards charged Mr. Lenehan with negligence in that he presented the incorrect greyhound.  Mr. Lenehan pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.

Olfina Allen was quick to begin.  Pure Zest, Notorious One, Cordite Extra and Tim Riggins were slow to begin.  Cordite Extra and Tim Riggins collided soon after the start.  Lektra Rival and Uncle Pandora collided approaching the first turn.  Pure Zest, Notorious One and Uncle Pandora collided on the first turn, checking Pure Zest.  Tim Riggins lost ground on the first turn.

Tim Riggins was vetted following the event and revetted following event   It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Vincent, the trainer of the greyhound Tim Riggins.  Stewards deemed the performance of Tim Riggins unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Tim Riggins must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Harvey, Cairnlea Lewis and Jeremiah Jack collided soon after the start, checking Jeremiah Jack.  Alpha David checked off Dig Deep Bert on the first turn.  Jeremiah Jack raced wide on the second turn.  Dig Deep Bert raced wide in the back straight.
