Steward's Report
Nigel Bale was a late scratching at 6.17 p.m. on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Cosmic Jim was slow to begin. Cedric Diggory and Cosmic Black collided soon after the start. Hurricane Yella and Hannah Boden collided on the first turn severely checking Hurricane Yella. Cedric Diggory and Hoofla collided approaching the home turn. Cedric Diggory eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Ian Cockerell trainer of the greyhound Cedric Diggory . Cedric Diggory was vetted follwing the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right monkey muscle and right front sesamoid. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5) the stewards charged Cedric Diggory with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant toGAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
