This Is Spartan was quick to begin.  Pacific Cruiser and Geebah Joan were slow to begin.  Late Show Queen and This Is Spartan collided soon after the start checking This Is Spartan and Pacific Cruiser.  Lunar Magic was checked off Late Show Queen on the first turn checking Reatily Shintaro, Pacific Cruiser raced wide as a result.  Lunar Magic was checked off Reatily Shintaro approaching the home turn.  Reatily Shintaro and Arvo's Texan collided on the home turn  causing Reatily Shintaro to fall.  Geebah Joan was checked off Pacific Cruiser approaching the winning post.

Reatily Shintaro was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder and a fractured left wrist, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Geebah Joan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hip, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Arvo's Texan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Pursuant to GAR 104(7) Steward Miss Demi Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event. 

Pacific Impulse was quick to begin.  Renajohn, Melody Pond and Lady Cyclops collided soon after the start checking Melody Pond and Lady Cyclops.  Melody Pond was checked off Power For Lee approaching the first turn.  Renajohn and Pacific Impulse collided on the first turn checking Pacific Impulse, Jax Mikado and Melody Pond and severley checking Power For Lee.  Lady Cyclops was checked off Power For Lee approaching the home turn.  Pacific Impulse and Jax Mikado collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Pacific Impulse.  Pacific Impulse and Power For Lee collided several times in the home straight.

Cosmic Don, Delvin Flash and Our Guy were slow to begin.  Fury Road and Squeaky Gate collided on the first turn.  Cosmic Don and Strawbs collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Strawbs was checked off Cosmic Don approaching the home turn.  Cosmic Don and Delvin Flash collided in the home straight.

Boloney Swag, Reel Them In, Senorita Fairy and Aeroplane Benny were slow to begin.  Let It Bling and Elswyk Max collided soon after the start checking Elswyk Max.  Let It Bling and Azza's Baby collided on the first turn.  Elswyk Max and Aeroplane Benny collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Let It Bling and Azza's Baby collided approaching the home turn.  Elswyk Max was checked off Aeroplane Benny on the home turn and raced wide checking Boloney Swag.  Elswyk Max and Boloney Swag collided approaching the winning post.

Senorita Fairy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle and a sand toe on the right hind foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Zall Good was quick to begin.  Every Cloud and Heads No Tail collided soon after the start.  Hendo Blue, Ragtime Jaymee and Sultan's Boy collided soon after the start.  Every Cloud, Heads No Tail, Ragtime Jaymee and Sultan's Boy collided on the first turn causing Sultan's Boy to fall.  Heads No Tail and Ragtime Jaymee collided approaching the home turn.  Hendo Blue raced wide in the home straight.

Sultan's Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Corey Lindrea, trainer of Our Alice in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Our Alice last raced on the 3rd May 2015.  Mr. Lindrea stated that Our Alice was retruning to race after a change of kennels and a new trainer.  Stewards noted Mr. Lindrea's explanation.

Speaker City and Graystone were slow to begin.  Graystone stumbled soon after the start.  Speed And Rocket, Spy Miss and In The Dock collided soon after the start checking Spy Miss.  Speaker City and Graystone collided approaching the first turn checking Speaker City.  Our Alice and Speed And Rocket collided on the first turn.  Fawn Mantra and Trigger Bling collided on the first turn.  Trigger Bling was checked off Fawn Mantra on the first turn.  Graystone and Trigger Bling collided approaching the home turn.  Our Alice and Speed And Rocket collided in the home straight.  Our Alice and In The Dock collided approaching the winning post.

Speed And Rocket was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a minor spike wound to the left hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Arvo's Nico was a late scratching at 3:14pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a right pencil muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Wayne Gent, trainer of Matari's Lad in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Matari's Lad last raced on the 26th December 2014.  Mr. Gent stated that Matari's Lad was retruning to race after a change of kennels and a new trainer.  Stewards noted Mr. Gent's explanation.

Eat My Shorts and Strzelecki were quick to begin.  Bondi Buddy, Dundee Harrier and California Club were slow to begin.  Eat My Shorts and Strzelecki collided approaching the first turn checking Strzelecki.  Bondi Buddy was checked off My Miss Polly on the first turn.  Totally Lost and California Club collided on the first turn checking Totally Lost.  Strzelecki and Dundee Harrier collided approaching the home turn checking Strzelecki and Gee Whiz Gran.  Eat My Shorts, Bondi Buddy, My Miss Polly and California Club raced wide on the home turn.  Eat My Shorts was checked off Bondi Buddy in the home straight.

Mr. Robert Lesjak the rainer of Shrek's King declared a new weight of 33.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Shrek's King last raced at 31.8kg.

Cougar Stealth was quick to begin.  Dessie Walnut and Barroom Express were slow to begin.  Shrek's King and Wandering Vicky collided soon after the start.  Wandering Vicky was checked off You Can't Play approaching the first turn.  Cougar Stealth crossed to the rail on the first turn.  Wandering Vicky and Blonde Rockie collided on the first turn.  Shrek's King and You Can't Play collided on the first turn checking Shrek's King and Wandering Vicky.  Aeroplane Lou and Dessie Walnut collided approaching the home turn.

Mr. John Jarkis the trainer of Ole Kirk declared a new weight of 29.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ole Kirk last raced at 31.0kg.

Mr. Ian Newcombe the trainer of Jada's Joy declared a new weight of 33.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jada's Joy last raced at 34.7kg.

Ole Kirk was quick to begin.  Zavalla was slow to begin.  Jada's Joy and Pacific Magic collided soon after the start checking Pacific Magic.  Gas A Light was checked off Love The Grub  approaching the first turn.  Tiger Jams crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Love The Grub, Ole Kirk and Shrek's Junior.  Gas A Light was checked off Jada's Joy on the first turn.  Tiger Jams raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Zavalla and Gas A Light raced wide in the home straight.

White Diamond went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Letty Bee was slow to begin.  Tekki Hail and Still Just Under collided approaching the first turn checking Tekki Hail.  Cheetah Stealth and Shooter's Class collided on the first turn.  White Diamond and Caribbean Magic collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight.
