Alexia Rae was slow to begin. Play With Magic and Gabonia collided soon after the start and several times approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Alexia Rae galloped on the heels of Naughty And Nice approaching the first turn. Addictive Bryce and Turfman collided approaching the first turn, checking Addictive Bryce, Play With Magic, Naughty And Nice, Gabonia, causing Play With Magic and Naughty And Nice to race wide. Addictive Bryce galloped on the heels of Alexia Rae on the third turn, checking Addictive Bryce and Gabonia.
