Spring Trail was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left dew claw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Why Not Wayne was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Mr G. Carter, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.

Black Illusion and Know Danger were slow to begin.  Noosa Jet and Fearless John collided soon after the start.  Dyna Yemen, Gary Doogan and Fearless John collided approaching the winning post.
