Mystic Twist was quick to begin. Esparza and Full On Bling collided approaching the second turn. Mystic Twist and Why Not Wayne collided on the third turn. Spring Pride and Spring Trail collided on the third turn. Wind Whistler raced wide on the third turn causing Esparza and Full On Bling to race wide. Wind Whistler and Why Not Wayne collided on the fifth turn checking Mystic Twist, Esparza and Why Not Wayne, severely checking Spring Trail. Tribal Faith raced wide in the home straight. Esparza, Why Not Wayne and Wind Whistler collided approaching the winning post.
Spring Trail was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left dew claw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
