Stan's Choice was slow to begin. Mag Spring and Hashtag Danny collided approaching the first turn. Mag Spring, Lace Parasol and Hashtag Danny collided approaching the first turn, checking Hashtag Danny. Saywah Tonayo, Saint Oaks and Carve collided approaching the first turn, checking Saint Oaks. Lace Parasol checked off Hashtag Danny on the home turn and collided with Carve, checking Carve. Saint Oaks checked off Stan's Choice on the home turn. Stan's Choice and Saint Oaks raced wide in the home straight. 

Saint Oaks was vetted after collapsing in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound had cramped. No stand down period was imposed. Acting on their own observations and reviewing the official footage, Stewards were satisfied that the greyhound had cramped after the event, and advised Mr. J. Cameron the trainer of Saint Oaks that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
