Steward's Report

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Narisawa and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11.08am due to weight variation (GAR39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr D Drew was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr P Handley, the trainer of Brooklyn Babe regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Brooklyn Babe last raced on 4th May, 2015. Mr Handley stated that greyhound had been finding trouble in the last few starts and had been freshened with a good spell. 

Final Deception was slow to begin. Little Nitro crossed to the outside soon after the start. Cristal Surf and Final Deception collided soon after the start. Snaphook Sticka and Ladies Kay collided at the 275m mark. Cristal Surf and Brooklyn Babe collided at the 100m mark. Little Nitro and Brooklyn Babe collided approaching the winning post.

Snaphook Sticka was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the right front foot. No stand down period was imposed.
