Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Fish Armo, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Fish Armo and Forever Rose were slow to begin. Barn's Delight and Swift Joker were very slow to begin (3L). Barn's Delight and Swift Joker collided soon after the start checking Barn's Delight. Swift Joker galloped on the heels of Fish Armo approaching the first turn. Fish Armo and Barn's Delight collided on the first turn checking Fish Armo and Swift Joler. Barn's Delight and Moore Lomar collided approaching the home turn checking Moore Lomar which collided Forever Rose. Barn's Delight raced wide on the home turn. Barn's Delight and Virgil collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Clark, the trainer of the greyhound Barn's Delight regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Barn's Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left fore toe, no stand stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Barn's Delight with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Clark pleaded guilty to the charge, Barn's Delight was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
