Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms K. Smith, handler of the greyhound Crystal Sapphire which had not raced since 8 April 2016. Ms Smith stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel.
A pre race sample was taken from Crystal Sapphire.
Sketchy Nick, Crystal Sapphire and Doodle Bug Jay collided soon after the start checking Crystal Sapphire. Lunar Eclipse and Sketchy Nick collided approaching the first turn. Gotta Rush, Sketchy Nick and Doodle Bug Jay collided approaching the first turn checking Gotta Rush and Sketchy Nick. Gold Compass galloped on the heels of Velobell approaching the home turn.
Crystal Sapphire was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
