Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Cudgee's Myla.
Flying Sam went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Cudgee's Myla was slow to begin. Jemma's Fantasy and Hashtag Johnny were quick to begin. Cosmic Rise and Alouette Josie collided soon after the start. Cosmic Rise, Alouette Josie and Flying Sam collided approaching the first turn, checking Alouette Josie. Alouette Josie brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Moth Attack, Hashtag Johnny and Jemma's Fantasy collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Cudgee's Myla and Flying Sam collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Flying Sam and Jemma's Fantasy collided entering the home straight. Cosmic Rise raced wide on the home turn.
Alouette Josie which trailled the field was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn, the handler of the greyhound Alouette Josie. Stewards deemed the performance of Alouette Josie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Alouette Josie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
