Track Curator H.Brodie advised stewards that the track was deeply harrowed on 3 October 2016.

Fancy Talon was a late scratching at 6:26pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Kynan's Revenge was quick to begin. Cordite Alert and Fast Freddie collided soon after the start. Foxzami Storm and Ben's Talon collided soon after the start. Cordite Alert and Faxzami Storm collided on the first turn, checking Faxzami Storm and Ben's Talon. Quarter To galloped on the heels of Kynan's Revenge on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Quarter To and Kynan's Revenge collided approaching the home turn, and again entering the home straight. Cordite Alert and Foxzami Storm collided in the home straight.

Kynan's Revenge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.

Marcus Daking was quick to begin. On The Rail, Crump's Beauty and Oh So Nice collided soon after the start. On The Rail and Oh So Nice collided approaching the first turn, checking On The Rail and Crump's Beauty. Discovered, Marcus Daking and What Pins collided on the first turn, checking On The Rail and Marcus Daking, and severely checking What Pins. Oh So Nice and Discovered collided approaching the home turn. On The Rail and Blow Out collided approaching the home turn.

What Pins was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Flying Sam went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Cudgee's Myla was slow to begin. Jemma's Fantasy and Hashtag Johnny were quick to begin. Cosmic Rise and Alouette Josie collided soon after the start. Cosmic Rise, Alouette Josie and Flying Sam collided approaching the first turn, checking Alouette Josie. Alouette Josie brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Moth Attack, Hashtag Johnny and Jemma's Fantasy collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Cudgee's Myla and Flying Sam collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Flying Sam and Jemma's Fantasy collided entering the home straight. Cosmic Rise raced wide on the home turn.

Alouette Josie which trailled  the field was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn, the handler of the greyhound Alouette Josie.  Stewards deemed the performance of Alouette Josie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Alouette Josie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bushman's Luck was quick to begin. Jen Shen was slow to begin. Cordite Extra, Cosmic Chapta and Intensify collided approaching the first turn, checking Cosmic Chapta. Swift Bazmo was slow to begin. Saint Flynn, Optic Bray and Crackerjack Roy collided soon after the start, checking Optic Bray. Cudgee's Milo and Country Flash collided approaching the first turn, checking Country Flash. Country Flash and Swift Bazmo collided on the first turn, checking Swift Bazmo. Cudgee's Milo and Saint Flynn collided on the first turn. Cudgee's Milo, Spring Kitty and Saint Flynn collided approaching the home turn, checking Spring Kitty and Crackerjack Roy. Spring Kitty and Ocean Bay collided on the home turn. Optic Bray checked off Crackerjack Roy entering the home straight. Cudgee's Milo eased in the home straight.

Cudgee Milo was vetted and after being re-vetted following event twelve, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hunt, the trainer of the greyhound Cudgee's Milo regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Cudgee's Milo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hunt pleaded guilty to the charge, Cudgees  Milo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lass Bale was quick to begin. Ella Rhode and Maximum Melva collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Melva. Woolly Warbo and Samsara Lass collided soon after the start, checking Woolly Warbo. Bundarra Magic and Samsara Lass collided approaching the home turn. Crackerjack Max checked off Ella Rhode in the home straight. Woolly Warbo and Samsara Lass raced wide on the home turn.

New Club Crawf and Suspicious Joe were slow to begin. Desert Spike, Scot's Dunker, Tear Away Babe and Call Me Daisy collided soon after the start, checking Tear Away Babe.
