Haiyan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Kennels closed approximately 10 minutes late due to the late arrival on course of Trainer Mr P. Grice. Stewards spoke to Mr. Grice and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure he arrives on course by the appointed kennelling time to present his greyhounds for racing, pursuant to GAR 31(2).
