Steward's Report

Paraphernalia and Ronray Sprirt collided soon after the start, severely checking Ronray Spirit. Paranoia, MacRory and Paraphernalia collided approaching the first turn. Lion Rebel and Cruisy's Empress collided on the first turn, checking Cruisy's Empress. Paranoia and Cruisy's Empress collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Cruisy's Empress, which stumbled, checking MacRory and Ronray Sprirt as a result. Paranoia failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight. 

Paranoia was vetted and after being re-vetted following event twelve. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Dyett, the handler of the greyhound Paranoia regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straighty.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Paranoia with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Dyett pleaded guilty to the charge, Paranoia was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
