Steward's Report
The start of this race was rescheduled to 10.55pm after the fire alarm went off in the grandstand, causing the area to be evacuated.
A pre race sample was taken from Shot To Glory.
Cosmic Coad was quick to begin. Henry's Fault, Levenseat Bevan and Krav Maga were slow to begin. Axel Boy and Creative Rhythm collided approaching the first turn, checking Axel Boy. Henry's Fault and Creative Rhythm collided approaching the first turn, checking Creative Rhythm causing Levenseat Bevan to gallop on the heels of Creative Rhythm, which fell as a result, severely checking Levenseat Bevan. Krav Maga raced wide on the first turn, on the home turn and in the home straight.
Creative Rhythm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a torn toenail on the right foreleg, and spike wounds to both hindlegs, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from Cosmic Coad (1st) and Krav Maga (2nd).
MEETING CONDITIONS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to P Burns, the representative of Buckle Up Maggie regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Buckle Up Maggie last raced on 25 January 2016. P Burns stated that the greyhound was returning from being on season and had changed trainers. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Buckle Up Maggie trialled over the 311m from box 1, weight 28.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.16, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 lengths. Buckle Up Maggie was cleared.

Buckle Up Lara last raced on 23 October 2015. P Burns stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured back muscle. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Buckle Up Lara trialled over the 311m from box 3, weight 27.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.16, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths. Buckle Up Lara was cleared.
