Steward's Report
Brodie John was quick to begin. Storm Of All was slow to begin. Quicksilver Hope checked off Catweasel soon after the start. Catweasel, Redfinn Fozz and Sunshine Casey collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Catweasel. Storm Of All checked off Forever Rose approaching the home turn. Forever Rose and Catweasel collided approaching the home turn checking Forever Rose. Mylina Shakey and Redfinn Fozz collided on the home turn. Brodie John and Quicksilver Hope collided in the home straight. Quicksilver Hope failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post.
Sunshine Casey was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Patterson, the trainer of the greyhound Quicksilver Hope regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Quicksilver Hope was vetted and re-vetted following race 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Quicksilver Hope with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Patterson pleaded guilty to the charge, Quicksilver Hope was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
