Hardaway Terror was slow to begin. Don's Racer, Windsor Prize, Fiery Universe and Lektra Cooked collided soon after the start checking Fiery Universe and Lektra Cooked. Windsor Prize and Don's Racer collided on the first turn severely checking Don's Racer. Fiery Universe checked off Lektra Cooked on the first turn. Don's Racer and Fiery Universe collided approaching the home turn. Trov's Gem, Patchie Bear and Hardaway Terror collided approaching the winning post.
Windsor Prize was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right eye area. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
