Forever Rose and Catweasel collided approaching the home turn checking Forever Rose. Mylina Shakey and Redfinn Fozz collided on the home turn. Brodie John and Quicksilver Hope collided in the home straight. Quicksilver Hope failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post.

Sunshine Casey was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Patterson, the trainer of the greyhound Quicksilver Hope regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Quicksilver Hope was vetted and re-vetted following race 4.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Quicksilver Hope with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. Patterson pleaded guilty to the charge, Quicksilver Hope was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Speedcar Skip was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained and injury to the left groin muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell, the trainer of John's Magic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  John's Magic last raced on 24th June 2016. Mr. Russell stated that the greyhound was returning after being spelled. Mr. D. Russell, also declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). John's Magic last raced at 30.0kg.

Ima Lonely Girl was slow to begin. Advice Aplenty and Oaklands collided soon after the start. Go Lakers Go, Elite Stress and Baroness Molly collided soon after the start checking Elite Stress and Baroness Molly. Stewards spoke to Mr. B.Buckingham, the trainer of Cosmic Lachy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cosmic Lachy last raced on 20th June 2016. Mr. Buckingham stated that the greyhound was returning after a Metacarpal injury and being spelled. 

Mr. C.Jaensch, trainer of Mighty Winston declared a new weight of 29.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mighty Winston last raced at 31.5kg.

Mighty Winston was quick to begin. Spritely Julia was slow to begin. Jack Snapper raced wide approaching the first turn. Hey Alio Fozzio checked off Cosmic Chapta approaching the first turn. Rockin' Roller and Mighty Winston collided on the first turn checking Mighty Winston and severley checking Rockin' Roller and Cosmic Chapta. Cosmic Chapta galloped on the heels of Cosmic Lachy approaching the home turn severley checking Cosmic Chapta which raced wide as a result.

Don's Racer was vetted follwing the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained  an injury to the left wrist. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
