Steward's Report
Bush Ace, Fancy Talon and Alouette Josie were slow to begin. Lektra Dizzy and Baron Destini collided approaching the first turn. Bush Ace and Fancy Talon collided approaching the home turn, checking Bush Ace. Brazen Beau checked off Striker Shearer approaching the home turn. Bush Ace and Alouette Josie collided approaching the home turn. Baron Destini checked off Lektra Dizzy in the home straight. Brazen Beau eased in the home straight.
Brazen Beau was vetted following the event, and re-vetted following race eight. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Dyett, the handler of the greyhound Brazen Beau regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Brazen Beau with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Dyett pleaded guilty to the charge, Brazen Beau was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
