Miss Maximo was a late scratching at 6:38pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Proven Tone and Play Alone were slow to begin. Weekend In Paris and Proven Tone collided on the first turn. Spazzy Blue, Inter Elesha and Play Alone collided on the first turn, checking Inter Elesha and Weekend In Paris. Inter Elesha brushed the running rail on the third turn. Play Alone checked off Spazzy Blue approaching the home turn.

Buckle Up Sheila was quick to begin. Righto Mitch and Glory Rose were slow to begin. Glory Rose and Redefined collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking Glory Rose. Mendacious Lad checked off Buckle Up Sheila approaching the home turn. Righto Mitch and Tweedle Dee collided entering the home straight, checking Tweedle Dee. 

Ms. N Lund, trainer of  Rennicane declared a new weight of 32.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Rennicane last raced at 31.4kg.

Roma Girl was quick to begin. Premo Potion was slow to begin. Rennicane, Wasabi Princess, Better Beware and Snow Mistake collided soon after the start. Premo Potion checked off Renee Boucheau on the first turn. Snow Mistake raced wide on the home turn. Premo Potion and Another Blue collided in the home straight. Renee Boucheau, Premo Potion, Another Blue, Better Beware and Snow Mistake raced wide in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Nifty Neville. 

Johnnie Red was very slow to begin (4 Lengths).  Bubba's Lad was slow to begin. Nifty Neville checked off Dakini Allen approaching the first turn. Magical Bling crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Sisco Mama, Rosie Riccarton, Dakini Allen and Magical Bling. Fearless Flyer crossed to the outside on the first turn. Nifty Neville and Sisco Mama collided approaching the second turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. McRae regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Johnnie Red.  Stewards directed that Johnnie Red be boxed first in future events.

Kachina Allen was quick to begin. Division Four and Danger Bale were slow to begin. Danger Bale raced wide on the first turn, causing Ecnal to race wide.

Danger Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and right achilles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Shall She Cindy went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Another Hope was slow to begin. Lopsided and Big Roo Drew collided approaching the first turn. Addictive Riley and Turfman collided on the first turn, checking Addictive Riley and Another Hope. Big Roo Drew contacted the running rail approaching the second turn, checking Big Roo Drew and Shall She Cindy. 

Andy Jay and Heidi's Jewel were slow to begin. Boozetown Hound and Winterstein collided soon after the start. Diegonator, Winterstein and Iron Anda collided on the first turn, checking Boozetown Hound and There's Steamy, and causing Heidi's Jewel to race wide. Andy Jay and Boozetown Hound collided approaching the second turn. There's Steamy and Boozetown Hound collided on the second turn, checking both greyhounds.

Miss Johannsen and Dash Of Scotch were slow to begin. Allen Kempo and Duff Bale collided soon after the start. Noaki Phoenix, Allen Kemp and Duff Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Noaki Phoenix. Dash Of Scotch and Angel Ice collided on the first turn, checking Canino. Addictive Bryce and Angel Ice collided on the second turn, checking Angel Ice, and causing Allen Kempo to gallop on the heels of Angel Ice, severely checking Angel Ice. Noaki Phoenix and Canino collided on the second turn, checking Noaki Phoenix and Angel Ice.

Tinny Time and My Superstar collided approaching the first turn, checking Tinny Time. Mighty Sprite, Noaki Lynx and Izumi collided on the first turn, checking She's Dee Rocket and Le Sands, causing My Superstar to fall and Tinny Time and Why Not Mick to race wide. 

My Superstar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dozer Lad was slow to begin. Dozer Lad, Cosmic Medusa and Enchanted Lass collided on the first turn, checking Enchanted Lass and severely checking Cosmic Medusa. Twistex clipped the heels of Miss Fox on the home turn.

Dulcet Sound was slow to begin. Runaround Susan was quick to begin. Showgirl Miss, Mystic Powers and Buckle Up Jem collided approaching the first turn, checking Mystic Powers. Tweedle Dumb and Amlin Jewel collided approaching the first turn. Tweedle Dumb, Amlin Jewel and Showgirl Miss collided on the first turn, checking Tweedle Dumb. Showgirl Miss and Mystic Powers collided entering the home straight, checking Showgirl Miss. 

Buckle Up Jem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left achilles and an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Bindi and Fiesty Ivy were quick to begin. Blue Not Black and Sisco Pure collided approaching the first turn, checking Sisco Pure and Snow Gypsy. Miss Gracie checked off Black Bindi on the first turn, checking Blue Not Black and Hey Bail. Sisco Pure and Hey Bail collided approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn.
