Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Sands, the trainer of Bubba's Lad regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bubba's Lad last raced on 4th May 2016 and is returning to race after a spell.
Kayla Las was quick to begin. Bubba's Lad and Astute Glib were slow to begin. Anoteros and Bubba's Lad collided soon after the start. Dashing Magic, In Dee Gang and Text Me Tony collided on the first turn checking Dashing Magic and Bubba's Lad and severely checking In Dee Gang and Anoteros; In Dee Gang tailed off as a result. Kayla Las raced wide entering the home straight checking Astute Glib. Text Me Tony cramped in the home straight and lost ground as a result.
In Dee Gang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to it's left radius/ulna and a right wrist sprain. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Text Me Tony was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left calf muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Northway, the trainer of the greyhound Text Me Tony. Acting in accordance with GAR 71(Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
