Stewards spoke to Mr T.Burns, trainer of Buckle Up Jordy with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Buckle Up Jordy last raced on 26 February 2015. Mr Burns stated that Buckle Up Jordy is returning to racing after suffering an injured shoulder. Stewards noted Mr Burns comments.

A pre-race sample was taken from On Flyer.

Zou Zou Nee was quick to begin.  Cawbourne Mighty and Bozumolu were slow to begin.  Buckle Up Jordy galloped on the heels of Zou Zou Nee on the first turn checking Zou Zou Nee.  Where's Salma, Il Signo and On Flyer collided on the first turn checking On Flyer. 

Hippy Jet, Groover Groover and Worthy Reab were quick to begin.  Collekki, Make That Call and Diablo Keroma were slow to begin.  Worthy Reab crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Groover Groover.  Hippy Jet and Groover Groover collided on the first turn checking Hippy Jet, Groover Groover, Collekki and Make That Call and severely checking Ginlee's Prince; Ginlee's Prince stumbled causing Diablo Keroma to race wide.  Hippy Jet and Collekki collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Hippy Jet.

Ginlee's Prince was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Worthy Reab, the winner of the event.

Scanez Twelve and Cosmic Scar were quick to begin.  Macey's Queen, Uno Rae and Lil' Feisty were slow to begin.  Macey's Queen stumbled soon after the start and lost ground.  Dr. Brownie and Shooters Echo collided soon after the start checking Dr. Brownie.  Shooters Echo crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Scar, Scanez Twelve and Arvo's Leroy.  Arvo's Leroy and Uno Rae collided on the first turn checking Arvo's Leroy and severely checking Uno Rae.  Cosmic Scar checked off Lil' Feisty on the first turn and raced wide checking Dr. Brownie as a result.  Cosmic Scar and Dr. Brownie raced wide on the home turn.  Uno Rae checked off Arvo's Leroy on the home turn.  Macey's Queen and Scanez Twelve collided approaching the winning post.

Mr. J. Stemmer, trainer of Gorbachev redeclared a new weight of 34.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Gorbachev last raced at 32.9kgs.

Amaroo Chaos and Early Violet were quick to begin.  Secret Colour, Hold On Nitro and Cool Milo were slow to begin.  Zatmine checked off Amaroo Chaos on the first turn checking Hold On Nitro and Early Violet.  Secret Colour contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. McCann regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Zatmine.  Stewards directed that Zatmine be boxed first in future events.

Secret Colour was vetted following event 7.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to its left metacarpal and right shoulder.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Me The Chief was quick to begin.  Precious Pink and Arvo's Tayzer were slow to begin.  Have A Tinnie crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Arvo's Tayzer which stumbled.  Precious Pink and Dark Avenger collided approaching the first turn checking Precious Pink.  Bruree Jewel and Dark Avenger collided on the first turn checking Bruree Jewel.  Bruree Jewel and Diamond Ed collided on the first turn checking Bruree Jewel.  Bruree Jewel raced wide on the home turn. Dark Avenger checked off Have A Tinnie entering the home straight and collided with Bloss's Blitzen; Dark Avenger and Bloss's Blitzen were checked as a result.

Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Dollery trainer of Bruree Jewel by telephone regarding his failure to have the greyhound vetted before leaving the course.  Stewards directed that the greyhound be presented for a veterinary examination before any future nomination will be accepted.

Charlie Spitz was quick to begin.  Black Kaspa was slow to begin.  Izabella's Gift, Sisco Flyer and Flippin' Good collided approaching the first turn checking Izabella's Gift.  Bergaz raced wide on the home turn.  Charlie Spitz and Black Kaspa collided approaching the winning post.

Flaming Bob and Tilly's Tempa were slow to begin.  Flaming Bob checked off Dr. Rahoual approaching the first turn.  Dr. Rahoual raced wide on the home turn.  Tilly's Tempa checked off Alderley Riot entering the home straight.

Black Selandra was quick to begin.  Ima Legend was slow to begin.  Kosi Can, Bernmar Pete and In This Way collided soon after the start checking Kosi Can and Bernmar Pete.  Hard Merchandise checked off Daintree Sugar approaching the first turn.  Hard Merchandise and Bernmar Pete collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Jane Eliza, In This Way and Ima Legend collided on the first turn.  Jane Eliza and In This Way collided approaching the home turn.  Hard Merchandise and Bernmar Pete collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Bernmar Pete was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Black Selandra, the winner of the event.

Mr. M. Giddings, trainer of Silver Rockstar redeclared a new weight of 29.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Silver Rockstar last raced at 30.9kgs.

Dr. Les was quick to begin.  Daintree Mustang was slow to begin.  Silver Rockstar and Broad Betty collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Kallara Tipene raced wide on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Kobe's Hand, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr S,Northway trainer of Ella Flash with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Ella Flash last raced on 22 March 2015. Mr Northway stated that Ella Flash is returning to racing after suffering a foot injury. Stewards noted Mr Northway's comments.

Anberlin was quick to begin.  Pendles Power and Ella Flash were slow to begin.  Pendles Power, Asha Rhode, Ella Flash and Hotlips Matilda collided approaching the first turn checking Pendles Power and Ella Flash and severely checking Asha Rhode.  Pendles Power galloped on the heels of Mohawk Mako in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr J,Jarkis trainer of Dora's Hand with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Dora's Hand last raced on 4 February 2015. Mr Jarkis stated that Dora's Hand is returning to racing after being on season. Stewards noted Mr Jarkis's comments.

Dora's Hand was quick to begin.  Dyso Matt, Arvo's Violet and Feen Dish were slow to begin.  Gustavo Fring and Feen Dish collided approaching the first turn.  Gustavo Fring crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Purple Flynn and Black Gypsy.  Dyso Matt raced wide on the first turn.  Purple Flynn crossed to the outside entering the home straight.

Mr. N. Parsons, trainer of Big Burkey redeclared a new weight of 31.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Big Burkey last raced at 30.2kgs.

My Pocket Rocket and Madam Model were quick to begin.  Asa Ellwood was slow to begin.  Spoil The Party and Chili Delight collided soon after the start checking Chili Delight.  Madam Model crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Flip, Dr. Leonardo, Spoil The Party and Big Burkey.  Big Burkey and Spoil The Party collided on the first turn.  Asa Ellwood raced wide approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Dr. Leonardo checked off Asa Ellwood entering the home straight and raced wide as a result.

Madam Model was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trials

Bit After Nine trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 30.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 23.21.  The greyhound won by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Bit After Nine was cleared.

Strawbs trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 4, weight 28.2kgs. The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.21. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 lengths. Strawbs was cleared.

Kiria Lason trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 8, weight 27.4kgs. The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.21. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75 lengths.  Kiria Lason was cleared.
