Steward's Report
Nitro Princess was a late scratching from this event at 6:28pm Stewards non-penalty, due to an administration error which resulted in the greyhound being drawn in two events. Nitro Princess was a reserve (9) in Event 6 and gained a start after a late scratching in the event. Nitro Princess was also drawn into the field of Event 8, 450m heats. Nitro Princess will compete in Event 8.
Optimus Bart was slow to begin. Shanlyn Violet crossed to the rail soon after the start. Miss Cersei crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Optimus Bart, Charleston, Classy Boy and Slipaway Mavis. Charleston, Classy Boy and Slipaway Mavis collided on the first turn, severely checking Classy Boy and Slipaway Mavis. Slipaway Mavis checked off Classy Boy on the first turn. Miss Cersei checked off Optimus Bart on the first turn. Shanlyn Violet and Optimus Bart collided approaching the winning post.
Slipaway Mavis was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
