A pre-race sample was taken from Scunitza Speed prior to kennelling, upon arrival at the course.
Scunitza Speed, Low Talker and Sally Gardens collided soon after the start. Scunitza Speed, Low Talker, Sally Gardens, Night Phantom and Weblec Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Night Phantom and Sally Gardens. Low Talker galloped on the heels of Bel Air Spice approaching the first turn. Feikuai Molly, Weblec Rose, Night Phantom, Sally Gardens and Low Talker collided approaching the first turn checking Low Talker, Weblec Rose, Night Phantom and Sally Gardens. Feikuai Molly and Bel Air Spice collided on the first turn. Bel Air Spice checked off Scunitza Speed approaching the second turn. Low Talker checked off Bel Air Spice on the second turn. Weblec Rose and Low Talker collided approaching the third turn and again on the third turn checking Weblec Rose. Night Phantom and Low Talker collided approaching the winning post.
Weblec Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
