Sisco Rage was slow to begin.  Waynewright and Lites And Sirens collided soon after the start.  Matlin's Tornado  and Waynewright collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Sisco Rage and Ultimate Jack collided entering the front straight checking Ultimate Jack.  Matlin's Tornado and Waynewright collided on the fifth turn checking Waynewright and Lites And Sirens.  Dewana Babe checked off Sisco Rage on the home turn.  Sisco Rage tired over the concluding stages of the event.  Sisco Rage and Lites And Sirens collided approaching the winning post checking Sisco Rage.

Sisco Rage was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Galea, the trainer of the greyhound Sisco Rage regarding the greyhound's seemingly disappointing performance in this event.  Mr. Galea stated that he now believed the greyhound would be better suited to a middle distance in the near future.  Stewards noted his comments.

This event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes to avoid a clash with a Kilmore Harness event.

Allen Oregon was slow to begin.  What's Up Herbie, Igor Karkaroff, Pirlo and Takedown collided approaching the first turn checking Igor Karkaroff.  Bucky Boy, Takedown, Pirlo and What's Up Herbie collided on the first turn checking What's Up Herbie, Pirlo and Igor Karkaroff and severely checking Takedown, Mafalda Hopkirk and Bucky Boy; Bucky Boy fell as a result.  Takedown and Mafalda Hopkirk collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Allen Portland and What's Up Herbie collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn.  Allen Portland and What's Up Herbie collided entering the back straight checking Allen Portland, What's Up Herbie and Pirlo.  Pirlo and Allen Oregon collided in the back straight.  What's Up Herbie checked off Allen Portland approaching the third turn.  Igor Karkaroff and Allen Portland collided on the third turn.  Igor Karkaroff brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.  Pirlo checked off What's Up Herbie in the home straight.

Sisco Wake was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Texas Titan checked off Pipeline Rumour soon after the start.  Julie Bale and Pipeline Rumour collided approaching the first turn.  Texas Titan, Pipeline Rumour and Ringer collided on the first turn.  Young Henry and Texas Titan collided approaching the second turn.  Julie Bale and Sisco Wake collided approaching the second turn.  Julie Bale, Young Henry, Texas Titan and Sisco Wake collided on the second turn checking Young Henry and Pipeline Rumour.  Julie Bale checked off Sisco Wake approaching the third turn.  Texas Titan galloped on the heels of Cosmic Owl on the home turn checking Texas Titan.
