Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr D Condon, the trainer of Irish Connection regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Irish Connection last raced on 21st March, 2015. Mr Condon stated that the greyhound is resuming tonight after sustaining an injured metacarpal during the last race start at Ballarat.
Mr D Condon, trainer of Irish Connection declared a new weight of 34.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Irish Connection last raced at 33.7kgs.
Black Alabar was slow to begin. Noddin Off and Irish Connection collided approaching the first turn. Black Alabar raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Tatti regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Black Alabar. Stewards directed that Black Alabar be boxed first in future events.
Meeting Comments-
Twistex, trained by Mr D Jones was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race.
Satisfactory Whelping Trial (solo) - Dipsy Daisy trialled over the 460m from box 3, weight 30.3kg. The time of the trial was 27.86. Dipsy Daisy was not cleared.
