Dodge The Magic, Doing A Youngy and Dr Yagatha were slow to begin. Dodge The Magic and In Dee Beginning collided soon after the start. In Dee Beginning checked off Doing A Youngy approaching the first turn. Dodge The Magic brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Apache Tears crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Veetee Havoc and causing Ringo Dingo, Sun Choice and Doing A Youngy to collide, severely checking Sun Choice, Dodge The Magic, Doing A Youngy and Dr Yagatha. Dodge The Magic eased in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Doing A Youngy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D.Batten, the trainer of the greyhound Dodge The Magic regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Dodge The Magic was vetted and re-vetted following event 3. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left chest muscle and right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dodge The Magic with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Batten pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dodge The Magic was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S Chignell, the trainer of April Fools Rose regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. April Fools Rose last raced on 8th February, 2015. Mrs Chignell stated that the greyhound is resuming tonight after sustaining a fractured right tibia following a fall during the last race start at Sale.

Cosmic Coad and Tools Down were quick to begin. Bird Has Flown was slow to begin. Bird Has Flown crossed to the inside soon after the start collided with Running Shadow and Lisburn Star, checking Lisburn Star. Aston Lydia crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Running Shadow, severely checking Cosmic Coad, Gun Law Levo, Bird Has Flown and Tools Down. Running Shadow and Aston Lydia collided approaching the home turn.

Zipping Casey, Heaps Of Baloney and Our Kimi were slow to begin. Zipping Kasey and Bring Sexy Back collided soon after the start. Hot Patootie crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Transkei Warrior. Heaps Of Baloney checked off Bring Sexy Back approaching the first turn. Zipping Kasey, Bring Sexy Back and Our Kimi collided approaching the first turn, checking Bring Sexy Back and Our Kimi. Bring Sexy Back and Heaps Of Baloney collided on the first turn. Bring Sexy Back checked off Our Kimi on the first turn, checking Our Kimi. Hot Patootie and Zipping Kasey collided on the home turn. Ablazin Mikado raced wide on the home turn. Hot Patootie and Transkei Warrior collided entering the home straight, checking Transkei Warrior and severely checking Hot Patootie which stumbled as a result. Our Kimi and Fairy Pretty collided entering the home straight.

Black Samsara was quick to begin. Winston Rose and Cosmic Shiraz collided soon after the start, checking Winston Rose. Hugh Made Who, Neurological and Maverick Dusty collided approaching the first turn. Hugh Made Who checked off Maverick Dusty on the first turn, checking Neurological and Prince Nando, causing Hugh Made Who to gallop on the heels of Cosmic Shiraz as a result. Cosmic Shiraz and Prince Nando collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr R Keating, the trainer of Alpha Leva Keato regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Alpha Leva Keato last raced on 22nd February, 2015. Mr Keating stated that the greyhound has had an operation to repair a torn back muscle during this time and following veterinary advice has slowly been rehabilitated back to racing. 

Alpha Leva Keato, Fiesty Fairy and Zsa Zoom were slow to begin. Fiesty Fairy and Zsa Zoom collided soon after the start. Rylee's Marshall and In The Flesh collided approaching the first turn, checking In The Flesh. Alpha Leva Keato clipped the heels of Rylee's Marshall approaching the first turn, checking Alpha Leva Keato. Alpha Leva Keato and Feisty Fairy collided on the home turn, checking Alpha Leva Keato. Fiesty Fairy checked off El Marny on the home turn. In The Flesh and Zsa Zoom collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Douch, the trainer of Jungle Junction regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jungle Junction last raced on 11th January, 2015. Mr Douch stated that the greyhound has had a spell and a seasonal break during this time. 

Mr D Douch, trainer of Jungle Junction declared a new weight of 30.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jungle Junction last raced at 29.4kgs.

Awesome Grunt was quick to begin. Cosmic Angel and Skye collided soon after the start. Aston Dareh crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Awesome Grunt, Jungle Junction and Mick Mow. Mick Mow checked off Aston Dareh approaching the first turn, checking Jungle Junction, Awesome Grunt, Skye, Zambora Storm and Tekki China. Jungle Junction and Skye collided approaching the home turn. Skye checked off Tekki China approaching the home turn. Jungle Junction and Tekki China collided on the home turn.

Awesome Grunt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn right triangle, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Gee Callan was a late scratching at 9:27am due to injury (GAR23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cosmic Tate and Rylee's Bandit collided soon after the start. He's So Good and Crackerjack Rose collided soon after the start. Roxy's Pride and Cosmic Tate collided approaching the first turn, checking Roxy's Pride. Cosmic Tate checked off Champagne Shot on the first turn. Rylee's Bandit and Champagne Shot collided approaching the winning post.

Dodgy Dealer and Vulcan Rose were slow to begin. Hardaway Law and Buckle Up Brett collided soon after the start. Dodgy Dealer, Pachacuti and Vulcan Rose collided on the first turn, checking Pachacuti. Pachacuti and Buckle Up Brett collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. One Step Beyond and Vulcan Rose raced wide in the home straight.

Flywheel Alfie was vetted prior to the start of the meeting after it was noticed that the greyhound had become caught in the kennel door. Mr S. Bye, the Trainer of Flywheel Alfie had no concerns with the greyhound. Flywheel Alfie was passed fit to race.

Renberg, Dr Shiki and Stealthy Who were slow to begin. Prue Jay and Flip collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Flip crossed to the inside approaching the first turn, checking Stealthy Who. Renberg, Dr Shiki and Stealthy Who collided on the first turn, checking Renberg. Flip brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Stealthy Who and Dana Archie collided approaching the home turn. Flip and Marciarno Miss collided approaching the home turn, checking Marciarno Miss. Flywheel Alfie eased and crossed to the outside approaching the home turn. Flywheel Alfie and Flip collided approaching the home turn. Renberg, Marciarno Miss and Flip collided on the home turn, checking Renberg and Marciarno Miss. Flywheel Alfie crossed to the inside on the home turn and checked off Prue Jay. Flywheel Alfie and Prue Jay collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Marciarno Miss raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr S.Bye, the trainer of the greyhound Flywheel Alfie regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Flywheel Alfie was vetted and re-vetted following event 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Flywheel Alfie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr S Bye pleaded guilty to the charge, Flywheel Alfie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Denzel and Segatashya were slow to begin. Our Blue Earner crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Buckle Up Vicki, Brooklyn Cruiser and Denzel. Buckle Up Vicki and Our Blue Earner collided approaching the first turn. Make Us Magic and Soda Lady collided approaching the first turn, checking Make Us Magic. Buckle Up Vicki raced wide in the home straight.

Soda Lady was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractured right radius and right ulna, and was humanely euthanised.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Condon, the trainer of Irish Connection regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Irish Connection last raced on 21st March, 2015. Mr Condon stated that the greyhound is resuming tonight after sustaining an injured metacarpal during the last race start at Ballarat.

Mr D Condon, trainer of Irish Connection declared a new weight of 34.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Irish Connection last raced at 33.7kgs. 

Black Alabar was slow to begin. Noddin Off and Irish Connection collided approaching the first turn. Black Alabar raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Tatti regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Black Alabar. Stewards directed that Black Alabar be boxed first in future events.

Meeting Comments-

Twistex, trained by Mr D Jones was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race. 

Satisfactory Whelping Trial (solo) - Dipsy Daisy trialled over the 460m from box 3, weight 30.3kg. The time of the trial was 27.86. Dipsy Daisy was not cleared.
