Kezza's Spirit and Next Grange were slow to begin. Just A Taste, Kezza's Spirit, Santa's Serena and Next Grange collided approaching the first turn severely checking Kezza's Spirit and Santa's Serena and causing Santa's Serena to stumble. Next Grange and Ima Apple collided on the first turn checking Just A Taste. Shazzle Boy raced wide in the home straight.
