Hallibel Bale was quick to begin. Miss Tricky was slow to begin. Mervue, Mississippi Girl and Kenzi collided approaching the first turn. Jazaan's Boy crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kenzi, Mississippi Girl, Mervue and Maximum Melva. Maximum Melva and Mervue collided on the first turn severely checking Mervue. Kenzi checked off Air Candy approaching the home turn. Maximum Melva and Kenzi collided on the home turn.

Mervue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to the left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.
