Steward's Report

Initial Factor was slow to begin. Silent Fletch checked off Carter Bale soon after the start. Carter Bale, Zooper Girl, Electro Bale and Chief Brit collided approaching the first turn checking Electro Bale and Zooper Girl. Carter Bale and Chief Brit collided on the first turn checking Chief Brit. Zooper Girl and Electro Bale collided on the first turn checking Electro Bale. Carter Bale and Nazareth Bale collided entering the home straight causing Carter Bale to brush the running rail. Harkonen Bale failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post and collided with Chief Brit.

Stewards spoke to Mrs H. Collins, the handler of Harkonen Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Harkonen Bale was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right chest muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Harkonen Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Harkonen Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
