Mr E Rinaldi, trainer of Ice Razor redeclared a new weight of 32.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ice Razor last raced at 33.5kgs. Mr Rinaldo stated that Ice Razor was resuming from a right hind achilles injury. Ice Razor last raced on 27 July 2014.
My Names Schultz and Iron Side were slow to begin. Bigboy Brownless crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking My Regina and My Names Schultz. Ice Razor checked off Add 'Em Up approaching the first turn. Ice Razor and My Names Schultz collided on the first turn, checking Iron Side and Zambora Jai and severely checking Ice Razor. Iron Side galloped on the heels of Zambora Jai approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds and causing Iron Side to race wide as a result. Busby Boy and My Names Schultz collided entering the home straight.
Iron Side was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
