Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Super Ballotelli, Mr. J. Formosa, regarding the amount of starts the greyhound has had in a short period of time. Mr. Formosa stated the greyhound has recovered fine from his previous starts and saw no issues with entering him to race again. Stewards noted Mr. Formosa's explanation and directed the greyhound be vetted upon presentation to the kennels. The on course veterinarian passed Super Ballotelli fit to race.

Super Ballotelli was slow to begin. Boloney World, Quicker Than Bev and Good Wick collided soon after the start checking Quicker Than Bev which stumbled as a result. Boloney World was held up for a clear run on the first turn. Note Book and Perpetrator collided on the first turn checking Note Book. Boloney World checked off Swift Frank approaching the home turn. Good Wick checked off Seth's Way on the home turn checking Perpetrator and Note Book. Perpetrator and Super Ballotelli collided several times in the home straight.

Quicker Than Bev was vetted following the event. It was reported that no apparent injury was found.

Booboo Beau, Belfast Tommy and Willow Princess were slow to begin. Firebomb and Patrice Bale collided soon after the start. Booboo Beau, Belfast Tommy and Burst Through collided soon after the start checking Booboo Beau. Belfast Tommy checked off Tat Molly approaching the home turn. Belfast Tommy and Willow Princess collided in the home straight. Belfast Tommy and Burst Through collided in the home straight.

Fourier Bale was slow to begin. Iona Bale and All Inn Black collided on the first turn. Rennicane checked off Omega Senor on the first turn. Tiggerlong Katut crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Omega Senor. Rennicane checked off Iona Bale entering the home straight. Rennicane checked off All Inn Black in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Zulu Retreat.

Zulu Retreat and Show Bag Carter were slow to begin. Jodie's Knee and All Inn Amy collided soon after the start. Jodie's Knee, All Inn Amy and Show Bag Carter collided approaching the first turn checking All Inn Amy. Jodie's Knee and Show Bag Carter collided on the first turn.

Jodie's Knee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle strain, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Hidden Danger, Mr. J. Lipinski, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Lipinski stated the greyhound had been recovering from injuries to both groins.

Governor Bale was slow to begin. Hidden Danger checked off Be My Love soon after the start. Three Star Chef faltered on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Three Star Chef, All Inn Troy and Governor Bale collided approaching the home turn checking All Inn Troy.

Three Star Chef was vetted and re-vetted following race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist strain, left monkey muscle strain and spike wounds, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Pyromania - winner of the event.

Zipping Simmo was slow to begin. Big Wolt, Detroit Tiger, Northern Blues and Zipping Chubbz collided soon after the start checking Zipping Chubbz, Northern Blues and Big Wolt. Zipping Simmo clipped the heels of Zipping Anne approaching the first turn and stumbled as a result. Zipping Simmo raced wide on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Blazin' Bomber - winner of the event.

Elite Sprite and Sonny's Tas were slow to begin. Elite Sprite stumbled soon after the start. Navaho crossed to the outside approaching the first turn.

Repayments was slow to begin. Agility checked off Farhat Bale approaching the first turn. All Inn Ky and Dyna Ping collided on the first turn checking Dyna Ping. Agility and All Inn Ky collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Repayments checked off Dyna Malaise on the first turn. Agility and Dyna Ping collided on the home turn.

Stewards delayed the "All Clear" to review the race replay in particular the position of the lure on the first turn. Stewards deemed that no runner in the race was materially effected and that the incident had no bearing on the result of the race therefore declared "All Clear."

Stewards spoke to the Lure Driver, Mr. G. Glass and reminded him of his responsibilites to be aware of the lure position at all times.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Soul Maker, Mr. J. Formosa regarding the amount of starts the greyhound has had in a short period of time. Mr. Formosa stated the he beleived the greyhound had been recovering well from its previous starts but intended to give the bitch at least a weeks break before its next start. Stewards noted Mr Formosa's explanation and directed the greyhound be vetted upon arrival to the kennels. The on track veterinarian cleared Soul Maker fit to race.

Kaufman Bale and Soul Maker collided soon after the start. Hercules Bale checked off Kaufman Bale on the frist turn checking Dyna Quote. Hercules Bale and Cotton Bud Joe collided entering the home straight. Fury Bale checked off Wez Gordy approaching the winning post.

Duomo Bale was a late scratching at 6.41pm  due to weight variation(GAR 39).A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer T Mitchell was fined the sum of $100.

Ravager Bale was slow to begin. Zany Bale checked off Tywin Bale approaching the first turn. Spring Missile crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sheoak Blue Boy. Tywin Bale, Sheoak Blue Boy and Tarn Star collide on the first turn checking Sheoak Bale and Tarn Star.. Zany Bale galloped on the heels of Tarn Star approaching the home turn severely checking Tarn Star which faltered and tailed off.

Tarn star was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist strain and lacerations to the left toes, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr C Grenfell, trainer of Dyna Norfolk  redeclared a new weight of 31.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dyna Norfolk last raced at32.5kg.

Peregrin Stealth checked off Owen Bale soon after the start. Bastet Bale brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Sorcha crossed to the rail on the first turn. Owen Bale, Dyna Norfolk and All Inn Dora collided on the first turn checking Dyna Norfolk and Astana Spur. Owen Bale and Peregrin Stealth collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Peregrin Stealth. Dyna Norfolk and All Inn Dora collided on the home turn and entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Pingu and All Inn Bundy were slow to begin. Arie's Jewel and Cosmic Ketut collided soon after the start. All Inn Bundy and Fancy Assassin collided soon after the start. Super Patricia checked off Vee Bee Elle soon after the start. Super Patricia, Pingu, Fancy Assassin and All Inn Bundy collided on the first turn checking Super Patricia and All Inn Bundy. Arie's Jewel and Cosmic Ketut collided on the first turn. Vee Bee Elle, Iona Machine and Pingu collided approaching the home turn checking Pingu. Vee Bee Elle, Pingu and Fancy Assassin collided on the home turn. Vee Bee Elle and Pingu collided entering the home straight causing Vee Bee Elle to fall checking All Inn Bundy.

Vee Bee Elle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh strain and lacerations over the left track leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
