Stewards spoke to S. Collyer, the trainer of Elite Obama regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Elite Obama last raced on 22nd of May, 2016. Mr. Collyer stated that Elite Obama is returning to racing from a spell.

Boomer was quick to begin. Platinum Doll crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Nefarious and Elite Obama. Elite Obama and Platinum Doll collided approaching the first turn, checking Elite Obama. Dyna Archie checked off Paradise Bay on the first turn. Dyna Archie checked off Destini Seajewel on the first turn, checking Jack's Miss and Platinum Doll. Destini Seajewel contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Jack's Miss and Platinum Doll collided several times approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the trainer of Jac'ks Alouette regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jack's Alouette last raced on 5th of May, 2016. Mr. Ward stated that Jack's Alouette is returning to racing from right hind achilles injury.

Jack Snapper was slow to begin. Powerful Stress faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Limburg Jack and Scarce collided approaching the first turn. Limburg Jack checked off Scarce approaching the winning post. 

Powerful Stress was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right hind toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Sisco Mama, Warbo, Hillbilly Hell, Stevron Autos and Take Fright collided soon after the start, checking Warbo, Stevron Autos and Hillbilly Hell. Dyna Willem and Sisco Blast collided approaching the home turn, checking Take Fright, Sisco Blast and Canis Regis. Sisco Mama raced wide in the home straight.

Danny Brook was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Running Home was a late scratching at 11.03 AM due to diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Slipaway Anna and Caeser's Comet collided in the home straight, checking Caeser's Comet. Caeser's Comet checked off Slipaway Anna approaching the winning post.

Bush Courage was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Scot's Dunker engaged in this event on Monday 29th of August pursuant to GAR 79A.

Mr. P. Pace was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Bazz Kebab pursuant to GAR 33.

Fipa Middleton was quick to begin. Cosmic Kilby, Scot's Dunker and Bazz Kebab were slow to begin. Platinum Force, Cosmic Kilby and Mudslinger collided soon after the start, checking Platinum Force. Platinum Force checked off Sindy's Girl on the first turn. Mudslinger and Shezza's Nitro collided on the first turn. Shezza's Nitro checked off Scot's Dunker approaching the home turn. Sindy's Girl crossed to the outside on the home turn, checking Scot's Dunker. Scot's Dunker checked off Bazz Kebab in the home straight. Sindy's Girl, Shezza's Nitro and Platinum Force collided in the home straight, checking all three greyhounds. Sindy's Girl and Shezza's Nitro collided approaching the winning post.

Don's Shy Girl was a late scratching at 2.02 PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to bruising to the chest. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Sunningdale. 

Rocket Riley and Dark Tantra were slow to begin. Blazing Nitro checked off Lunchmoney Lewis on the first turn, severely checking Dark Tantra. Sunningdale checked off Corgi Cry in the home straight. 

Ms. E. Vigor, trainer of Next Grange declared a new weight of 34.4 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Next Grange last raced at 35.7 kg's.

Don's Licker was a late scratching at 6:08pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Barcia Beebee was a late scratching at 2.25 PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to the greyhound being on season. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Absolute Roarer was slow to begin. Lady Juar, Absolute Roarer and Lektra Damage collided soon after the start. Oscar and Lady Juar collided on the first turn, checking Oscar. Don Fire raced wide in the home straight.

Absolute Roarer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Crimson Peak trialled over the 460m from box 8, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 26.28, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.25 lengths. Crimson Peak was cleared to race in blinkers.
