A pre-race sample was unabled to be obtained from Amari upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling. A post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Lil' Miss Banjo went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Nukstar was slow to begin. Lil' Miss Banjo, Urana Laurie, My Girl Belena and Amari collided approaching the first turn, checking Amari and Nukstar, and severely checking My Girl Belena, Urana Laurie and Lil' Miss Banjo, Lil' Miss Banjo fell as a result. Joraddi raced wide in the home straight. 

Lil' Miss Banjo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. M. Zammit, trainer of Liquid Diamond declared a new weight of 25.1 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Liquid Diamond last raced at 27.0 kg's.

Dr. Illuminate and Cosmic Kilby collided approaching the first turn, checking Dr. Illuminate. Dr. Oliver and Tedesco collided approaching the first turn, checking Tedesco. A sample was taken from Zoltan Bale - the winner of the event. 

The start of this race was delayed by approximately one and a half minutes to allow Club Staff to move members of the public who were located in close vicinity to the race track.

Fleet Return was a late scratching at 6.33p.m. due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer F. Kirkham was fined the sum of $100.

Zoltina's Legacy was quick to begin. Hyper Venom checked off Topper Teretto on the first turn. Topper Teretto checked off Head Wreck approaching the home turn. Hyper Venom checked off Topper Teretto approaching the home turn. Silvertop checked off Topper Teretto approaching the home turn. 

Aeroplane Tommy was slow to begin. Enjoy Cruising, Jive Time, Zac's A Sixpence, Elsa Bale and Six Green Thumbs collided soon after the start, checking Zac's A Sixpence. Aeroplane Tommy, Jive Time and Six Green Thumbs collided entering the back straight, checking Jive Time. Jive Time checked off Elsa Bale appproaching the home turn. Elsa Bale checked off Jive Time in the home straight.

Jive Time was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right front paw webbing, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Graham Julian regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound  Dynamic Spin.  Stewards directed that Dynamic Spin be boxed first in future events.

Tiggerlong Swage, Superstar Jatt and Teflon Tommy collided soon after the start, checking Superstar Jatt. Tiggerlong Swage clipped the heels of Teflon Tommy approaching the first turn, and stumbled as a result. Zall Over checked off Teflon Tommy approaching the first turn. Superstar Jatt checked off Teflon Tommy approaching the first turn. Superstar Jatt and Zall Over collided on the first turn, checking Zall Over and Tiggerlong Swage. Tiggerlong Swage was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left foreleg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

The judging equipment failed to capture an image for this event. The Judges referred to the back up photo finish system and their own observations to determine the placings. The All Clear was given on the Judges numbers 2,1,4 & 7

Crackerjack Pete was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right eyelid, and injuries to the right monkey, right thigh and both hamstrings, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Il Bacaro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
